The book contains thirty-five papers selected from over 140 papers presented in the Flight Physics sessions at EUCASS 2013 in Munich, Germany. These papers were reviewed by experts, revised, and throughly edited to provide state of the art knowledge in their respective fields. The volume was prepared as a reference for research scientists and practicing engineers in the field of flight physics.

The contents of the book include recent worldwide accomplishments in fundamental and applied studies on combustion and detonations in gases, solids, sprays, and hybrid reactive media, as well as various hydrodynamic phenomena at extreme states of the matter.

This volume is a continuation of the series of books covering the research and development results presented at the biannual International Colloquia on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations (ICPCD) organized since 1998 and jointly sponsored by the U.S. Office of Naval Research and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

The mission of the IV Moscow International Conference «Molecular Phylogenetics» (MolPhy-4) is to provide a stimulating platform for the exchange of ideas in such top areas of evolutionary research as evolutionary genomics, molecular phylogenetics and systematics, studies of complex traits of coevolution of different genomic and proteomic elements and their ancestral reconstruction, modeling evolution in a contemporary framework of algorithmic and computer science.

The volume provides an overview of the state-of-the-art in these interrelated disciplines and is published in connection with the 6th International Symposium on Nonequi- librium Processes, Plasma, Combustion, and Atmospheric Phenomena held in Sochi, Russia, October 5€10, 2014.
